Our Fees

Clear, transparent fees are an important part of how we work. We keep our structure simple, so you always understand what you’re paying and the value you receive in return.

Initial advice and implementation

For initial advice and the implementation of your financial plan, our fee is typically 1–3% of the amount invested, depending on the complexity of your situation and the size of the investment. This covers the detailed work required to understand your position, build a tailored strategy and put the right structures in place from the outset.

Ongoing advice

Our ongoing advice fee is 1% per year. This reflects the ongoing work involved in managing your portfolio, reviewing your plan, adjusting for changes in tax rules, markets and personal circumstances, and ensuring your finances remain aligned with your long‑term goals.

Total ongoing cost

When underlying fund charges and platform costs are included, the typical total ongoing charge is approximately 1.45% per year. This is an all‑in figure covering advice, investment management, administration and the tools we use to monitor and maintain your plan.

The value
you receive

Our fees support a long‑term partnership focused on clarity, structure and confidence. This includes:

  • A financial plan built around your goals

  • Ongoing monitoring and adjustments as your life evolves

  • Evidence‑based investment management

  • Regular reviews and clear reporting

  • Guidance on tax, pensions and cross‑border considerations

  • A steady, experienced adviser who knows your situation in depth

The aim is simple: to ensure you receive meaningful value for the fees you pay, through better decisions, fewer mistakes and a financial plan that supports the life you want to build.

The fees outlined above apply to the majority of the clients we work with. In some cases — particularly where specific investment wrappers, insurance‑based solutions or jurisdiction‑specific products are required — the method of remuneration may differ. Where this applies, all costs will be explained clearly in advance, including any product charges, commissions or alternative fee structures, so you can make an informed decision before proceeding.

This pricing structure is wholly owned by Summit Finanical, a Senior Partner Practice of St. James’s Place (Hong Kong) Limited, and applies to certain St. James’s Place products. The initial advice fee may vary between Practices. The pricing structure above may not apply to other Practices within St. James’s Place.

The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.
